Private Fees and Charges

Not all services at the practice are available under the NHS.

Where patients request non-NHS items or services, a private fee may be payable.

Listed below are the private fees that are charged to patients.

Private Prescription£20 – You will need to pay the cost of medication  at the pharmacy
Private Medical Certificate – Fitness to Work£30
Full medical examination – Including HGV, PCV, Taxi, Pilot, Employment Medicals and Council Reports£150
Private Letters£30

Private fees – to be paid by third parties

The practice may also be asked to provide a medical report and or examination for an insurance company or solicitor. This charge is payable by the insurance company or solicitor.

Alternatively, a request may be received for a copy of your medical records. You will need to give your consent to this.

Making payments

Payments can be made by cash or cheque.  Cheques should be made payable to Dr Nicholls and partners.

Non-NHS services NOT provided at the practice

Some services are not available from the practice. These include:

  • Driving licence – counter signature
  • Passports – counter signature
  • Shotgun certificate
  • Parking badge applications
